I’ve alwaysI loved botanical drawings. I haven’t always loved how they translate into metal jewellery, but I love sketching them out all the same. There’s something so calming about them.
These are my tulip wood silver and CZ dangle earrings.

Jewellers bench:
Rhodolite garnet, sterling silver
I have many great memories of picking raspberries with my mother in my grandmother's garden. Sneaking a few to eat, and keeping the rest for raspberry pie.
I once heard rhodolite garnets described as raspberry rhodolite garnets and I thought it was just such a perfect description. The depth and sweetness of the colour, the way natural light plays off the stone is so reminiscent of the juicy fruit.

Sterling silver, rhodolite garnet
Just a couple things on the bench now. I love oxidizing silver. This one wasn't a super even treatment but the plan is to polish most of it off anyways 😊 I once saw this stone described as raspberry rhodolite garnets and I just LOVED it. I think it perfectly describes the tasty colour of this stone.
initially I was going to make one really big necklace with three main raspberry panels, but sometimes once you get something on the bench it just doesn't feel the same. I think I still would have liked the final piece, but I REALLY like it as two separate pieces.
(plus each piece is a little less weighty this way)
