Some progress shots of a silver and onyx ring. This was a gift to my sister that I had been planning for ages and finally got 'round to starting/finishing. Just in time for christmas! I don't often set stones with such dramatic pointy ends. I tend to avoid marquise cut stones whenever I can. Though I love the shape and potential for optical illusions! I can safely say there was some intense concentrating, maybe a bit of drama going on when I set this guy!
There's always a mess of parts sitting on my bench pin. You can see a silver bead and a setting for a lovely pink tourmaline, in various stages of completion.
