This lemon ain't sour

Jewellers bench:

Lemon chrysoprase, sterling silver. I absolutely fell in love with this stone the first time I saw it in Tucson. There were beads, and carvings and cabochons! I bought a couple cabs and regretted not buying more the whole next year. I went on a mad hunt for some more the next time I was there. It was confusing at first because although it’s called lemon chrysoprase it’s not actually chrysoprase. Lemon magnesite would be a more accurate name. It’s such an unusual stone. I’m so used to seeing this kind of colour in man made things, highlighters and safety gear. It’s like a kick in the pants to remember that nature can produce it to. That nature did it first!
