I did some shopping this week...in person!! It was high time I got a new crucible for silver only. I’m sure there are easier ways to prepare them but my way is pretty fun😊 you can see how porous the new one is in the first picture (compared to the old one!) melting silver in that would be not a great idea 🙃
A shiny even layer of flux coating the surface makes sure everything melts the way it should.
