Another repair: this time a moonstone ring that was 1. In pieces. 2. The stone was pretty scratched up 3. Needed to be resized. Once the ring was apart we also decided on a few design changes.
I know it’s pretty common for people to add a step to a bezel to raise the stone up. I’ve personally found that it allows things to get caught in between your finger and the stone. This can cause scratches and may damage the stone.
